Walk on the Wild Path

Passiflora is home to hundreds of wild animals and plants. In this serene sanctuary, time appears to halt, allowing one to sense the ancient vitality of an unspoiled paradise. Embark on a 90 min. or > 120 min. exploration led by a local guide who will unveil the secrets of the area's flora, fauna, and indigenous cultures. Trek along forest trails, ascend a 23 Mts. (75 feet) high observation tower for panoramic vistas, and immerse through the lush, verdant terrain, you'll encounter a rich tapestry of exotic wild fauna, and vibrant plant life.

Whether you’re an experienced birder or just getting your feet wet with birding, Passiflora must be on your bucket list. Most bird enthusiasts need no convincing as to why they should travel to the South American jungle, a region renowned for its plethora of exotic and endemic birds. With over 1,500 bird species already listed and new species being discovered each year, this tropical paradise is a haven for avian enthusiasts. Exploring the wild trails of Passiflora offers more than just birdwatching. As you wander through the lush forest, you’ll encounter a diverse range of wildlife, including various primates, jaguars, small caimans, tapirs, capybaras, and countless insects. This immersive experience provides a deeper understanding of the forest and its inhabitants. One of the highlights of birding in Passiflora is the 23-meter high observation tower. Rising above the tree canopies, this tower offers an impressive view of the surrounding area, allowing you to spot different bird species from a unique vantage point. The breathtaking sights and sounds of Passiflora make it an unforgettable destination for any birding enthusiast.

Become a Rewilder (Volunteer)

Engage in our rewilding initiative and play a role in the rejuvenation of nature. As we embark on this journey, your involvement can span a range of activities tailored to your skills and availability, whether it's establishing forest trails, planting young trees, cataloging local flora and fauna, help designing and establishing a water pond habitat for migratory birds, or assisting in the construction of our base camp. Your commitment of a minimum of one week will make a meaningful impact in our efforts to revitalize this Amazonian ecosystem.

Time commitment: Monday - Saturday 08 - 16:00
The package includes: Three meals daily | Room in our cozy "jatata" small A frame model cabins | There is limited internet access, only Entel SIM Card | Transfer services from Rurrenabaque.

What to Bring - Dress Code

Long pants, Long sleeve shirt, Trekking shoes or rubber boots, insect repellent in cream (preferably with low or no DEET)

The rewilding site is 30 minutes drive from Rurrenabaque. It is situated on the road to Tumopasa, 25 Kms. north from San Buenaventura
